The Connected Data platform provides a Community, Events, and Thought Leadership for those who use the Relationships, Meaning and Context in Data to achieve great things.
We've been Connecting Data, People & Ideas since 2016.
We focus on Knowledge Graphs, Graph Analytics / AI / Databases / Data Science and Semantic Technology.
Over the years, we have organized numerous events big and small, with our flagship London conference attracting thousands of attendees.
We have had the honor of hosting luminaries such as Gary Marcus, Gadi Singer, Kirell Benzi and Sir Nigel Shadbolt, as well as emerging speakers who went on to achieve great things.
We are happy to have helped pave the way for the widespread recognition these technologies are receiving today alongside our community. We are here to shape the next chapter.

Our flagship event, Connected Data London 2024, is taking place on December 11 - 13. We are looking for volunteers to work with our team and help bring a top event to life.

Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for people who are:
Open. You don't have to have years of experience, or a PhD in Computer Science (though we would not say no to either!). You do need to be tech savvy, and open to learning new things. We are equally open to your ideas and feedback.
Responsible. You have to be self-motivated, and able to keep track of your time and your tasks. We'll always be there for you if you need help, but we find there is no point in chasing people - this is a passion project.
Social. Event organization is a team sport: it's hard work, but it's also meant to be fun. Interaction is what this is all about, so we're looking for people who are:
Congenial, Empathetic, Aware of etiquette, Good communicators
Comfortable expressing themselves in English, both written and spoken
Roles
Speaker Assistant
After we onboard our speakers, we normally appoint a liaison to make sure we have what we need from them, they have what they need from us, and everything is on track. This will be your job.
In this role, you will get to know and interact directly with our team, as well as leaders and innovators who speak at CDL24.
We provide coaching and training, as well as a reference and certificate of accomplishment after the event. You will also get a free all access pass.
Time Commitment: ~4 hours per week, on average. Probably less in the initial stages, and more as we approach the event.
On the day, ensure that all Speakers have arrived on time before their slot and if anyone is delayed, inform organisers
Partner Assistant
After we onboard our partners and sponsors, we normally appoint a liaison to make sure we have what we need from them, they have what they need from us, and make sure everything is on track. This will be your job.
In this role, you will get to know and interact directly with our team, as well as professionals from CDL24 partners and sponsors.
We provide coaching and training, as well as a reference and certificate of accomplishment after the event. You will also get a free all access pass.
Time Commitment: ~4 hours per week, on average. Probably less in the initial stages, and more as we approach the event.
Content and Media Assistant
We have a number of channels we use to spread the word on our program and speakers, as well as a process and a tech stack for this. We need someone to help us with this task, and get educated on it in the process.
In this role, you will get to know and interact directly with our team. You will also get access and hands-on training on a number of tools and platforms.
We provide coaching and training, as well as a reference and certificate of accomplishment after the event. You will also get a free all access pass.
Time Commitment: ~4 hours per week, on average. Probably less in the initial stages, and more as we approach the event.
Tech Assistant
We have a tech stack that we use to deliver our events. We need people to help us operate and tweak it as needed, and get educated on it in the process.
In this role, you will get to know and interact directly with our team. You will also get access and hands-on training on a number of tools and platforms.
We provide coaching and training, as well as a reference and certificate of accomplishment after the event. You will also get a free all access pass.
Time Commitment: ~4 hours per week, on average. Probably less in the initial stages, and more as we approach the event.
